2.2 From Tradespeople

If you sign up to provide services through Tradezy, we collect:

  • Full legal name

  • Professional background and service categories
  • Proof of insurance (recommended minimum $1M liability)
  • Any relevant certifications or trade licenses
  • Profile photo (if provided)
  • Ratings, reviews, and job completion records

 

2.3 Financial & Transaction Data

Tradezy processes all customer payments through trusted third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe or Square). While we do not store full payment card information, we may retain transaction metadata, including:

  • Transaction ID
  • Booking amount
  • Payment confirmation status
  • Payout details to tradespeople

 

3. Why We Collect Your Information

Tradezy collects and processes information for the following purposes:

4. Our Role as an Intermediary

Tradezy is not a service provider. We are a neutral digital platform that connects customers with independent contractors. All services are performed solely by the tradespeople booked through the site. By using Tradezy, customers acknowledge that we do not supervise, direct, or control the quality or completion of the work provided. Our role is limited to facilitating the booking and processing payments securely.

 

5. Payment Processing

Tradezy uses secure, PCI-compliant third-party services to process payments. When you book a service:

  1. Your payment is submitted via Stripe or Square at the time of booking.
  2. Tradezy temporarily holds the funds as a transactional intermediary.
  3. Once the service is completed without dispute, payment is released to the tradesperson, minus Tradezy’s service fee.
  4. In the event of cancellations, non-performance, or disputes, we may withhold or reverse funds as needed.You will receive a confirmation of payment at the time of booking, and all transactions are logged and auditable.

 

6. Data Retention and Storage

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Specifically:

  • Personal data related to service bookings, communications, and payment processing is retained for a maximum of three (3) years from the date of your last interaction with Tradezy.
  • After three years, we will either securely delete your data or anonymize it so that it can no longer be associated with you.

 

We retain this data for the following reasons:

  • To resolve potential disputes between customers and tradespeople
  • To comply with relevant tax, legal, and regulatory obligations
